Make your home as generic as possible in order to appeal to a greater number of buyers. For example, keep colors neutral and remove floral wallpaper so both women and men will see themselves living in your home.
Minimize anything negative in your home and maximize the positive. For example, if you have a window which looks directly at something negative, perhaps close the blinds. Top down bottom up blinds are excellent as they allow the flexibility to close either the top or bottom portion; therefore, strategically minimizing any negative view while still allowing in light.
Also think about how each room will look in a professional photo. Create a focal point with a bit of color and accessories.
